Imi Lichtenfeld
Krav Maga was developed by the late Imi Sde-Or (Lichtenfeld)during his remarkable military career as the chief instructor of hand-to-hand combat with the IDF. During his service, Imi wrote the official army handbook for hand-to-hand combat. He left military service in 1964 but continued to supervise Krav Maga instruction in both the military and security forces, and made efforts to improve, refine and tailor Krav Maga to the needs of civilians.
